Lisa Poe - Owner/Director/Occupational Therapist

Lisa Poe is the  owner and founder of A Focused Brain, LLC.  Lisa has been a Occupational Therapist for over 25 years working with a wide variety of clients including ADD,Autism, Stroke, Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities,  Brain Injury, Spinal Injury, MS and many other neurological and orthopedic diagnosis. She is a Certified Interactive Metronome Provider and a Certified Integrated Listening System Provider. She is also trained in Constraint Induced Therapy, Bioness H200, Saebo Splint and Hand Writing Without Tears And Hippotherapy.

Lisa is a speaker for Interactive Metronome traveling across the United States certifying other medical professionals in the use of Interactive Metronome.  I addition she is the author of The Fall prevention booklet for Interactive Metronome.

Kelli Colley - Occupational Therapist

Kelli Colley is a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi in 1992.  She has 26 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, including the areas of inpatient rehabilitation, acute care pediatric treatment, and outpatient pediatrics.  Kelli began her career at Children’s Rehabilitation Center where she soon was promoted to Assistant Director of Rehabilitative Services at Batson Children’s Hospital where she served in the role until retiring.   Kelli has been part of  A Focused Brain Team since 2015. 

Kelli is married to Ken Colley and has two daughters, Anna Paige and Emma.  The family has rescued and adopted three cats named Lola, Rosie, and Mimsy who have adapted well to their forever home.  Kelli is currently the President of Germantown Band Boosters and has served on the Executive Committee there for the past three years.  Anna Paige and Emma have been very involved in the band program at Germantown, playing flute and clarinet since they began middle school.  Kelli’s hobbies include watching her children’s musical performances, reading, and traveling with her family.

Nancilynn Dickey - Occupational Therapist

Nancilynn Dickey is a licensed Occupational Therapist who received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1999. She has 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and skilled nursing facilities. She particularly enjoys working with neurologically impaired patients of all ages. 

 

Nancilynn is married to Scotty Dickey, who is also an Occupational Therapist. She homeschooled her two sons who are now teenagers at St. Augustine School. She and her family are active members of Brandon Presbyterian Church, where she sings in the choir and teaches children’s Sunday school. Nancilynn has been teaching a fitness class at the Flowood YMCA for over 10 years. Her hobbies include sculpting, painting, drawing, and playing boardgames with her friends and family. Nancilynn has a love for learning, and for finding the beautiful patterns of design in God’s creation. Psalm 19:1

 

Nikki Gladd - Occupational Therapist

Nikki is a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, with a Bachelor of Science in business management and marketing from the Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.  She received her COTA degree from Holmes Community College.  She has a passion for pediatrics and helping children reach their full potential. 

 

Outside of the clinic, Nikki enjoys running, traveling with her family, cooking and maintaining her food photography and recipe web site  SeededAtTheTable.com A Midwest girl at heart, Nikki and her family moved to Chicago to Southern California before settling in Mississippi.  Her husband, Ben is an Associate Professor of New Testament at Reform Theological Seminary in Jackson.They are active members of Highlands Presbyterian Church and proud parents of their two elementary aged sons, Judah and Simon.

Emily Liddon - Occupational Therapist

Emily Liddon is a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist who attended Mississippi State University before receiving her Masters in Occupational Therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She currently works part-time time at A Focused Brain and has a passion working with children.

Outside of the clinic, Emily enjoys reading, crafting, traveling with friends, and spending time with her family. Emily lives in Jackson and attends Grace City Church. 

 

Meredith Flowers, PT, MPT, PCS

Meredith Flowers, PT, DPT, PCS is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy. Following graduation from the University of Mississippi Medical Center's DPT program in 2014, she completed the University of Central Arkansas Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency Program. Meredith has experience working in various pediatric settings including: acute care, outpatient clinics, school systems, home health, and developmental preschools. She also has 4 years of experience with hippotherapy. Meredith enjoys helping all children reach their highest potential!

 

 Meredith enjoys being outdoors, reading, cooking, and traveling. She loves to visit her close friends and family, especially her new nephew! Meredith lives in Madison and attends Parkway Hills United Methodist Church

John Poe, Office Manager

John is the office manger over the clinic and takes care of all the insurance, billing, marketing and payroll for A Focused Brain.  He is an Certified Interactive Metronome Provider and  a Certified Integrated Listening System Provider.  In addition, he has been been trained in the Handwriting Without Tears program. 

 

John has a background in sales and sales training in the pharmaceutical industry  for over 18 years and with Hallmark Greeting Cards for over 8 years..  John is a graduate from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama.  He is married to Lisa and they have one son who is active in motocross racing, skydiving and becoming a commercial pilot.  Our family are members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Madison.

Hope Henry, Horse Handler

Hope has a Masters of Fine Arts from Mississippi College.

 

Hope first started riding horses when she was five years old and has been riding  for the past nineteen years.  She has two horses in Madison at Winterview Farm and Belle Haven Farm.  Hope was on the Equestrian Team at Mississippi College for five years, where she has shown horses throughout the South East.   She is a member of the Hunter Jumper Association and has served as a children's camp counselor at a summer horse camp for nine years. Hope spends her spare time rising her horses, making pottery and paper making and volunteering at animal shelters. She lives in Madison and attends Broadmoor Baptist Church.
